THE FESTIVAL

Dickens in Dillard is the inaugural launch of a new holiday tradition in the City of Dillard, in the north Georgia mountains!

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic tale A Christmas Carol, this festival  will transform the the City Hall outdoor grounds into a festive Victorian village filled with warmth, charm, and community spirit.

Wander through booths featuring local artists, artisans, and makers, and enjoy food and beverage vendors offering festive treats and seasonal flavors as you explore.

Twinkling lights, charming décor, and old-world holiday spirit will set the stage for a day that feels like stepping straight into a Christmas storybook. And... the closing will be magical!

This is history in the making — the very first of what will become an annual mountain Christmas tradition.

  • Location: City Hall Grounds, 892 Franklin St., Dillard, GA
  • Date & Time: December 13, 2025 ~ 11:30 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.
  • Free shuttle from Downtown Clayton, GA and the old Piggly Wiggly parking lot in Dillard, GA! (Shuttle info in the Parking & Shuttles Tab)

*A percentage of the profits benefit Mountain Learning Enrichment and the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, both non profit organizations in our county.*

ENTERTAINMENT

Get ready for holiday cheer around every corner!

Enjoy live music, spirited performances, pictures with Santa, and costumed Victorian characters bringing the magic of the season to life. Children and families can gather at Cratchit's Corner (main stage) for storytelling directly from the Dillard Family, live performances and a delightful holiday puppet show (no Scrooge in this one, just pure festive fun!).

And for those looking to elevate the experience, don’t miss the Ebenezer VIP Lounge,  a cozy, festive retreat with warm ambiance and exclusive holiday touches. It’s the perfect spot to sip, relax, and soak in the magic.

From music to laughter, surprises to sweet holiday moments,  there’s something charming and heartwarming for every age. And the closing... it is going to be magical!

FAMILY EXPERIENCE

Stroll hand-in-hand through the decorated "village", listen to live music, sip something warm, and watch the kids light up during storytelling, interactions with Santa and the holiday puppet show. There will be plenty of photo-friendly moments, sweet keepsakes, and memories ready to be made around every corner.

While this event is family-friendly, we kindly ask that pets stay at home for the comfort and safety of all guests. We love our furry family members — but this day is just for the humans!

LOCATION

The festival will take place outdoors at the City of Dillard City Hall grounds,  easy to find and easy to enjoy. We will have on-site parking and clear signage, making arrival smooth and simple. Bundle up, stroll in, and enjoy the charm of a festive Christmas village set in the beautiful North Georgia mountains.

A NEW TRADITION BEGINS...

As the very first Dickens in Dillard, this celebration holds special meaning. By being here, your family is helping create a new holiday tradition that will continue to grow year after year. One day, you’ll be able to say: “We were there when it all began.”

This is more than a festival,  It’s the start of a story our community will tell for generations.
